COPD Prevalence in the UK

In the United Kingdom, an estimated 1.2 million people have been diagnosed with COPD. According to the British Lung Foundation’s Respiratory Health of the Nation project, around 2% of the population–4.5% of people over 40–live with the diagnosis of COPD. The study also showed that the prevalence of this disease is growing, with the number of people who have been diagnosed in the last decade increasing by 27%.
